  Review by Two Chicks Obsessed

Walker did an excellent job in creating such likeable characters you couldn’t help but fall in love with them. Coop was the light that Tom needed to let go and really enjoy life. I was thrilled to see that Walker made Tom doubt his actions. To be afraid of what consequences would happen for being involved with someone very young. How she handled the situations is what great writers are made of.

This was a super sweet book, I just loved it! Tom and Cooper are wonderful together. I also enjoyed Jennifer, Thomas’s assistant. There was just a little bit of angst but that worked for this book. Thomas finally came out and divorced his wife and even though it has been several years he isn’t happy even though he finally has his relationship with son back on track and his work life is awesome as always. Who ends up making Thomas happy is none other than Cooper, his son’s friend and an intern at his company. These two together just make you feel good and your heart melt. If you need a feel good book, this one is for you!

Elements of Retrofit provides the introduction to Thomas and Cooper and what a wonderful introduction. I totally loved both these characters. Tom and Cooper—even the names together sound hot! The strength in this book lies in the chemistry between the characters. As individuals they are interesting—at different times in their lives but both intelligent, talented, driven and sexy. The way they relate to each other is perfect, a great balance between a meeting of the minds and a meeting of the bodies. The age gap was so well handled. There was a definitely sense of realism which made the May-December believable. Oh, and did I mention how hot in bed these guys are together?

Another series by N.R. Walker, I can't wait, especially if there all as good as this one. I loved this story of Tom and Cooper. It was perfect in the way all this authors books are. I loved the dialogue between the two men, had me chuckling frequently. Despite the age difference these two men worked as a couple for me. Tom the more serious of the two and Cooper I loved his sense of humor. It was so great how he drew Tom out of his shell. There romance was so sweet. I'm looking forward to reading more in this series.

This is a delightful love story. It's well-written with a plot that runs smoothly, joining one scene to the next with relative ease. They are outstanding characters who deal with real problems, abundant in the competitive business world. For an appealing, informative book with sexy men and life changing decisions, I recommend you read this story.

Walker has the ability to get you attached to her characters and make you root for them...I really liked Cooper’s POV epilogue...Walker made an interesting choice by just giving Cooper the epilogue. It was one of the book’s highlights.

I liked this one. It was very well-written, almost spartan, much like Thomas Elkin. Tom is 44, divorced, and a successful architect. He's single, out as gay for the past four years, and attracted to his new intern--a college friend of Tom's 22 y/o son. It's a predicament. Cooper is young, lithe and attractive, but he's also a good architect with a passion that matches, if not rivals, Tom's. They are a good match, setting aside the age difference, and that Tom is essentially Cooper's boss. The men work together for weeks, building a deep rapport, one that Tom can see Cooper fashioning to his expectation--Cooper is insanely attracted to Tom, something Tom finds flattering, and perplexing, by turns. Their attraction turns physical, all on the down-low, but it was too down low, for me. I wanted to see more heat between this silver fox and his straight-talking protégé. The end had a work-spat conclusion, which was satisfying. This is a series I'll follow.

This is a simple, sexy romance. I really liked both of these characters, and at times I enjoyed them together.  I’m not sure I can see them together for the next forty years, but this is a satisfying short romance full of very hot sex.
