I am also so enthralled by this world. Winter, summer, autumn, spring. I LOVED the way Bran and Macsen were together. Yes, there was some miscommunication angst that I normally hate, but the author made me believe it was necessary to Bran’s growth so that he and Macsen can achieve longevity. These men were so passionate and intensely tender together. I could feel the emotional tie and I hated to see them suffer. But I was happy in the end and can’t wait to see what is in store for them next.

I am a big fan of fantasy and loved the mood that Belinda Burke creates, which gives the world an ethereal feeling.

Interesting story with drama, mystery, action, and hot sex between Bran and Macsen. A magical story of good versus evil, surprising allies, and a vengeful woman who will stop at nothing to gain what she seeks. The descriptions of each season’s landscape were breathtaking. The hunt by the red king was brutal and swift. I really enjoyed this second book. Well-written great read.

I really enjoyed getting back to Bran and Macsen and seeing how their relationship is put to the test. I loved that Macsen treats Bran so differently than he would anyone else and how Bran is still so naive when it comes to being sidhe. I’ll be looking forward to the next book in the series, though, because I feel like things are about to get way more interesting!

I am really liking this series. It is such a great blend of darkness and love. These beings are not your glittery Fae. They are not tricksters or lovable creatures. They are darkness and death and vengeance. And yet they love wholly and with a passion that leaps off the page. I am so fascinated by the way the author blends these characters so well...I am also so enthralled by this world. Winter, summer, autumn, spring. The rites and rituals associated with each season and the beings lording over each kingdom. It’s so interesting and I love they way tidbits are slowly revealed yet things are still hidden so I need to keep reading to learn more. The authors has done a great job building a series that I need to keep reading.
