This was a great start to a new series involving Detectives Alex Courtney and Conor Trethuan…The rescue of Conor was really exciting and I have to admit that I was getting a little nervous that Alex was going to be too late in finding him. Needless to say, Conor is rescued and the killer is caught…but at what cost to Conor? The beauty is that it forced Alex to admit his feeling for Conor and Conor reciprocates, but these guys have been through hell and need a vacation. That little bit of time off is where we begin book two and I can’t wait to start it.
