Read a lot, write a lot, do things that inspire you. If you really want it badly enough, you’ll find the time to sit down and write. Plan if it feels right for you, but don’t force it if it doesn’t work for you. You should know your ending in advance, though.

Definitely, and especially in such a fun way! Having a third person come in and go ‘right, you two, stop creeping around the issue and get in the bedroom’ was a nice change from the usual ‘does he?’/‘should I?’ plot devices. It cuts past the angst to the sexy times. Don’t get me wrong, angst is fun too, but I’ve read a lot of stories with that kind of storyline and wanted to do something a bit different.

Ever hear that expression ‘burning the midnight oil’? That’s the only way I can work.
I’ve tried really hard to go to bed at the same time as normal people, but when I sit down to write during the daytime, my brain just doesn’t engage. “But it’s light outside! It’s not time to go to work yet!” I end up getting nothing done until after everyone else has gone to bed, when my muse comes out to play.
